Residential Security

The What IF's in Life!

Nobody likes to think about the what if's in life!  Most of us would rather live in a world that is safe for us, and for those we love.  Reality is a far different picture than what we would like.  That doesn't mean we have to live in fear, we can take charge of our lives even in the area of home security and safety.  Being proactive rather than reactive after something has happened.

Why should you consider being proactive?   Well, in the time it takes you to read this sentence, one burglary will be committed in North America.  In this same time, a fire department will be responding to a fire somewhere in this country.

Don't become a Statistic!

  1. One out of every five homes will experience a burglary, fire, or carbon monoxide poisoning within the next six years.

  2. 38% of assaults and 60% of rapes occur during a home invasion.

  3. Twenty people die by fire in their homes every 24 hours.

  4. More than 1,800 deaths occur each year from carbon monoxide poisoning.

  5. One out of every three homes will have a medical emergency this year.

Choosing a company to assist in protecting your home is an important decision.   After all you won't just be protecting a building, you have more precious things to protect with a security system, like you and your family.  Pro1 can help prevent you and your family from becoming a statistic.

MORE facts about Wireless, Hybrids & Hardwired Systems!  Facts others won't tell you.

The facts are most companies take one of two lines when they talk about security systems either hard wired or wireless.  The truth of the matter is that Hardwired systems cost less for the equipment, but more for installation and sometimes a house can be constructed in such a way to hinder the installation of a hardwired system.  If a hardwired system is installed in a home it can be a formidable first line of defense but requires the expertise of a professional for installation.

Hardwired systems are not the only way to get protected even though some companies would SCARE you into thinking that a hardwire is your only option, if you really want to be safe.

Wireless systems can also be a formidable line of defense if installed correctly.  However most companies don't install wireless systems correctly and advise clients regarding the proper installation and use.  The other advantage of a wireless system is that homeowners can also be taught to install their own system thus saving considerable on purchase costs.  Wireless systems are far easier user use and has greater expandability, example a hardwire system has a basic 6 zones versus 24 zones in a basic wireless system.

Hybrid systems give you the best of both worlds, but tend to be higher in cost for the home owner.
